Girls with Working Moms Get Better Jobs and Higher Pay

“Researchers dug through family and career data on more than 100,000 men and women, and found that children of working mothers do tend to lead different lives than those with stay-at-home moms, they found. But not bad different. “

Oh the guilt!  You may not be home when your children get off the school bus, or may have to tend to email or an important proposal after dinner (somedays take out), but does this make you a bad mom or lesser parent?  Heck no!  The research presented by Kristen Bahler in this fasciating article confirms that our families, especially our children need strong role models.  Going back to work helps foster this as you demonstrate that you can follow your passions and dreams and still be a great parent.  Please note that this article does not downplay stay at home parents (it celebrates them actually), but reminds us that there’s great upside and less fall out than one may think when it comes to going back to work.
